Is this
THE North Carolina Girls' Soccer Camp?
Yes, we are are
part of the same North Carolina Girls' Soccer Camp that has overnight
camps
in Chapel Hill, NC.
We just bring the experience to you in the form of a day camp! The camp
is
staffed by Tar
Heels past and present and uses a curriculum based on that used in our
overnight
camps.
Does it matter what size ball I bring?
We prefer that the ball be a size 4 or 5 for the drills we will be doing.
May I stay and watch my child at camp?
Of course. You may stay for as long as you like as long as you remain
on the edge of the field.
May I drop off my child early or pick her up late?
Our staff will be at the fields approximately fifteen minutes before each session. We will also
remain at the field until every camper has been picked up after each session. We cannot be
responsible for a camper when
we are not on the
premises.
What kind of staff do you use?
For the most part our staff is made
up of former and present Tar Heels. Because their summers
are very busy, we
may supplement our staff with other collegiate players, but we try and
use as
many Tar Heels as
possible!
May my child attend both the morning and afternoon sessions?
Your child may attend as many sessions as he or she likes. We offer the same curriculum in
both the morning and afternoon, with slight modifications for age, so he or she may find it to
be repetitive. In addition,
arrangements will have to be made regarding supervision over the
lunch break from 12:00 - 2:00 pm between
sessions. Please contact the camp office by phone
or email to make arrangements.
Can I send in the application without a doctor's signature and send a
signed copy later?
Absolutely. Go
ahead and sign your daughter up to make sure you get a space and then
send
us your doctor's ok when
you get it taken care of.
Can my 5 year old attend?
We like to keep the camp fun and hope the kids learn something while they're here. We feel
that five years of
age is too young to attempt some of the skills we will be teaching. We also
feel we would be doing more
babysitting than instructing. Exceptions may be made for
exceptional children, but for the most part, we do
not allow five year olds.
How are medical emergencies handled?
The camps will have a full-time qualified First Aid Care Providers on hand to handle minor
injuries and medical situations. If an emergency situation arises, the camper's parents will
be notified and the camper
will be taken to the nearest medical facility at the parent's
discretion. In the case that a parent cannot be
reached, the Provider on hand will make a
decision about additional treatment.
Is there a discount for groups who attend?
Depending on the size of the group attending, discounts are available. Please contact the
camp office by phone or by email to inquire about this.
Can I transfer my registration to another person if my child cannot attend camp?
Yes you can. Your registration is fully
transferable. Just contact the office in writing, by
email or by phone
to let us know the details.
Can I send in the application without the doctor's signature and send
that in later?
Yes, this is
perfectly fine to do. We understand that you can't always get a doctor's
signature
right away, so you can either mail it in separately or bring it to camp
on the
first day.
Can I just bring the application to camp if it's only a few days
away?
Yes. If
camp is less than a week away, we advise campers to just bring the
application
and payment
to camp on the first day. Payments made on the day of camp should be in
cash
or
money order only. Also, please call us at 336-376-1946 and notify us
though
that you will
be coming so we can expect you!
How do I cancel my registration?
Please let us know in writing or by email or phone of your cancellation. Please see the
guidelines under IMPORTANT INFO regarding our cancellation policy.
